The Red Lion Team is evolving to meet the needs of our patients. Our clinical team is currently made up of two GP partners, a salaried GP, a nurse practitioner and a practice nurse. The team is further supported by a clinical pharmacist and a paramedic. Working alongside and supporting our clinical team we have a practice manager, reception manager, administrator and reception team with additional support from a social prescriber and care-coordinator.

The surgery is installing a new telephone system which will result in a change of contact number from 10am on Tuesday 10th September.
Our new system will be automated and allow patients to choose from a number of options depending upon the reason for their call. During times when the phone lines are at their busiest there will be a call back option which will allow patients to hang up and receive a call back without losing their place in the call queuing system.
Although we hope that the transition will be as streamlined as possible we do ask that patients bear with us during this time.
Out of Hours and Emergencies
For health information and advice, or if you need medical help fast when we are closed, call NHS 111. NHS 111 is the number to call when you need medical help fast but it’s not a life threatening emergency.
In life threatening emergencies such as chest pain and severe shortness of breath you should call 999
Extended Access Clinics
We are able to offer some appointments in the evening or at weekends in our extended access clinic based at Alderwood Medical Practice Longford Road Cannock.
